NMC Visit
Week 4: NMC Visits
Three things that I have learned from the trip to NMC is that it is affordable and you are able to go meet your friends and family. The NMC visit was informational and I learned a lot about the places we visited, like the URL marketing crew, they were the ones who made the NMC commercial. I learned about the history of NMC, on how it was established, in May 1981 by Governor Carlos S. Camacho. I also learned that bullying should stop, and there are warning signs when a person is being bullied. For example, frequent crying, unexplained bruises, sudden drop in grades, significant changes in social life, and ect.
Two comments that I have about the NMC visit is that NMC is a really good way to start, because it is affordable, and you know the community. Another comment is that NMC has a good snack bar. An unforgettable experience that I have is going to the farm in Capitol Hill, I saw how the farmers and farm lady grew their dragon fruit.
Conclusion Of College and Career Ready Summer Academy.
Week 5: Reflection
Some things that I learned in the Summer Academy, is that the college and career course, exposed us to the different career choices we have, either at NMC, or at NMTI. What I found found interesting about the course, is that who knew that we were able to participate in so many activities in just five weeks. Another thing that I have found interesting, is that who knew that college students and biologists would come to a not so remote island, like Saipan, just to study our abundant birds and vegetation. What I would take with me after the summer academy, are the experiences I had going to the different locations in the island, that I never knew that existed. I would definitely tell my classmates and fa ilu about my experiences in the summer academy course.

Environmental Field Trip 5: Bird Island
Week 4: Bird Island
Three things that I have learned from the trip to Bird Island, is that many tourists visit Bird Islands overview because of its picturesque scenery. Secondly , I have learned that the vegetation in the jungle we went through was rich with green and was healthy. Lastly, I have learned that Bird Island is protected by the government because of its sea reefs.
Two comments that I have about going to the field trip to Bird Island is that one, the scenery was picturesque and it was cool seeing the birds fly around the island
The second comment is that I will not forget this experience going down to Bird Island. An unforgettable experience that I had going there is seeing the reefs and corals, and seeing so many birds in that island.

Environmental Field Trip 4: American Memorial Park
Week 3: American Memorial Park
Three things that I have learned from the field trip to American Memorial Park, is that Saipan was one of the first places that the United States have rescued from the Japanese Empire. Another thing that I have learned, is that many of the marine, army, and military people died, from both the Japanese Empire and from the Americans. As well as that, many islanders and Japanese citizens died because of this war. Lastly, I have learned that the museum is open to many tourists, and is filled with many preserved artifacts.
Two comments about our field trip to American Memorial Park, is that it is really interesting to learn about the islands past, and it is very eye opening to think that such a small museum, would have such information about World War 2. An unforgettable experience I had going to A.M.P, is how were they able to put so much information in such a small area? The mini museum had so much information that I never knew about, like how Saipan was one of the first lands the Americans captured, and that Japanese people actually died because the general told them to, it is so awful, that they would just die because the general told them to.

Environmental Field Trip 3: Mt Tapochau
Week 2: Mt. Tapochau
What I learned from the bus ride up to Mt. Tapochao is that it was a magnificent site being and looking down on our island. Though it was foggy, and we barely had the chance to see the view of Saipan. Another thing I have learned, is that the reason why it was foggy, according to our guide, was because the clouds were just above us. Lastly , I have learned that the environment up the, mountain is really healthy, since the plants are pretty abundant and the insects there looked really different and healthy.
For me, it was pretty boring, because I have been up there multiple times and we had to wait for at least two hours just to leave. However, it was still fun going up there, since it was my first time going up to Mt. Tapochao while riding a vehicle. An unforgettable experience I had going to Mt. Tapochau is the knowledge I learned that it was foggy because the clouds were just above us, now I know that, that was the reason why it was so foggy.

Environmental Field Trip 2: Laderan Tanke
Week 1: Laderan Tanke
What I have learned from hiking up and down from the jungle is that it is very exhausting. It took us about three to four hours just to get around the trail. The other thing that I have learned is that there are many different birds in Saipan and in that jungle. There are turtle doves, kingfisher's, sparrow's, humming birds, and more. Lastly I learned that the trail is very steep and hard to hike down. Overall, it was a very interesting adventure and I am not sure that I would want to come back, but it was a great experience.
I saw many trees and there was many beautiful scenarios. I took pictures and videos of the place, and it was very peaceful in the jungle. It was one of my unforgettable experience. Going to the jungle was really something. It was really amazing going there, not many people are able to go in the jungle, like we have. If the jungle weren't scary I would want to camp there and stay there forever. I love how peaceful it is, and the birds singing is very soothing and relaxing. An unforgettable experience that I had, was the amazing experience I had going around the jungle.
